Digg is an example of the best of what Web 2.0 has to offer. It is a very powerful tool which people can use to get pertinent information out. The main headlines are not controlled by a cabal of editors but by popularity as rated by regular uses. This puts the power of information in the
hands of the people.
Digg is so powerful that it is affecting real world events. For instance if an old Media outlet like ABC runs a smear piece on Ron Paul the story will get send to Digg and thousands of people will complain to ABC or boycott their sponsors. Old media's domination of what is information and what isn't is deteriorating.
Another great thing about Digg is that you can rate down submissions which you think are spam or are simply lame. You can also voice your comments on the various issues. Digg is definitely worth a try.
