Step 1: Learn About Local Tourist Attractions
San Diego is a great city for tourist attractions. Not only do they have great animal attractions, but they also have cultural attractions as well. While you are here you will want to put some time aside to visit at least a few of the most popular San Diego tourist attractions like: the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, the San Diego Wild Animal Park, Legoland, the Spanish Missions and Balboa Park.
Step 2: Find a Place to Stay
If you are ready to enter the wilds of San Diego then you will want to make reservations to stay at a local campground. Some of your options include: the Mulberry Loop Campground, the Willow Loop Campground, the Burnt Rancheria - Cleveland National Forest and the California State Parks Reservation. The next closest national park to San Diego is the Joshua Tree National Park and it is located 102 miles away from the city.
Step 4: Go Beachcombing
If you are interested in beachcombing, having a romantic picnic on the beach or playing beach sports then you will want to make plans to spend the day at one or more of the local beaches. There are at least 18 beaches located within about 15 miles of San Diego. Some of your choices include: Blacks Beach, Boomer Beach, Central Beach, Coronado City Beach, Crown Point Shores, La Jolla Shores Beach, La Playa, Ski Beach and Wipeout Beach.
