Three Different Ways to Watch TV Online for Free

Like many people, there are a few TV shows I'm hooked on, and I like to watch them frequently. However, I hate watching television because of the commercials. I also prefer to watch my favorite TV show at my own convenience. I discovered a few websites that I can watch TV on for free. Each of the sites below contain streaming videos of network and cable TV shows.

ABC.com streams all of their original shows online. They have an awesome full screen video player built into the website. I really like watching shows on ABC.com because you don't have to wait for buffering. Each episode takes a few seconds to load, and then streams perfectly without any glitches or delays. They do run commercials, but they only play about three 30 second commercials per episode; which is much better than sitting through several commercial breaks, each containing multiple ads. The only downside to watching shows on ABC.com, is that each show only goes four episodes back. In other words, you can only watch the most recent episode and the three previous episodes of a show. So, if you're trying to catch up on a series from the beginning, this won't be much help.

Fanpop.com is one of my favorite websites. Fanpop is kind of like a social networking site for people who are fans of a particular TV show, band, or movie. However, you don't have to be a member to search through the site. Odds are, if there is a TV show you really like, someone has posted an episode of it on Fanpop. I have found entire seasons of TV shows on this website. Fanpop has "fan spots" for Lost, Entourage, Heroes, The Office, 24, House, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Scrubs, and more. Each "fan spot" contains user posted content, like full episodes and video clips.
