I've been married and an Army wife for almost 8 years. I met my husband when I was an active duty soldier myself stationed overseas. You'd think that I would have first hand knowledge of what it takes to do this job. Yes, I said job. I have chosen, like many others military spouses, to stay at home and provide stability for not only my children but my husband as well. This job has to be one of the most difficult jobs I have ever worked.

I'm the proud mother of 4 wonderful boys, 5 if you count my husband. I work for my husband, my children, and also go to school. Yes, I am a full-time student. While most go to work and have adult conversations, I'm at home telling my children for the thousandth time how to get dressed and yes you have to brush your teeth. I am always on duty. I don't get to leave my job at 5 to return the next day, don't get to call in sick, don't get a vacation, and I don't even get to use the restroom in peace. Why even my children get a break. The highlight of my day is when I take my children to school and pick them up. It's a chance for a little adult conversation. When I'm not tending to my children's needs, cleaning the house, or doing my schoolwork, I am helping my husband with whatever is going on at the time to keep him straight.
