Welcome to the American hobby. Muscle cars have been considered a tradition and legacy among enthusiasts much like how big rugged bikes have made their mark in the industry and as a household name. If you're thinking of getting a muscle car, then for sure you must love power and speed. Nothing beats the roar of a beast vehicle amongst quiet traffic.Choosing the right muscle car does not only mean that you get the loudest and meanest looking one. You have to select the car which people will be able to identify you with. Each muscle car, though how equally powerful and dominating they seem to be are still unique. Since you're up for some ego-boosting then you might as well get the one that best describes you. Here's how.
1. Model.
You probably already have a maker in mind. There are popular ones who have produced beautifully performing muscle cars that have lasted several decades up to now. The engine may be the most important part to consider when choosing a model. Although there's not one universal make that defines how a muscle car should look like, try to settle for proven popular designs. After choosing the right engine with the right power and noise for you, decide on size, style and power features. Muscle cars are vintage vehicles so it is important that you decide on a year when your choice was made as certain models have unique traits at the time they were introduced.
2. Engine.
Unless you have an engine worth bragging about, then you don't have a muscle car. Basing on the model and make of your car, you can easily identify the year you want to settle for. Some models only exist with one universal engine while others have as much as a dozen different ones with varying sizes and power. Since you're dealing mostly with the year when the engine was introduced, rarity will prove to be a determining factor in your choice. The rarer the engine, the more expensive it will be. Not all engines are expensive though, you can have the best time with a considerable number of carburations, cylinders and horsepower at a much lower cost.
3. Transmission.
