Site Contributor Has Been Active Ron Paul Supporter

The campaign of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has been mostly ignored by the mainstream media (Analysis: Ron Paul Still Ignored by Sunday Newspapers, Mainstream Media), but
Analysis: Canadian Company Leads in Ron Paul Coverage
has seemed to take-off on the internet, with Dr. Paul winning many online polls and making ten of thousands of friends on MySpace (Presidential Candidate Ron Paul Gains Popularity on the Internet).

Associated Content, a media outlet made up of citizen journalists, decided to take a closer look into which media outlets were regularly covering Dr. Paul's presidential campaign. In this investigation, we learned that much of the Ron Paul presidential campaign coverage is actually originated out of company based in Canada.

That's right - Canadians are providing the biggest coverage of the Ron Paul presidential campaign. A Canadian-based media outlet known as the Free Market News Network has been the leading source of Ron Paul campaign coverage over the past several months, providing several daily updates regarding Dr. Paul's campaign.

In the past several days, the Free Market News has written various pro-Ron Paul stories such as "Will CNN Retract GOP Ron Paul 'First-Class Story" and "Volume of Pro-Ron Paul Calls Shut Down GOP Call Center." These stories respectively focused on perceived unfair CNN coverage of Ron Paul flying first class when other candidates had also flown first class and a report that over 20,000 Ron Paul supporters had called the GOP in support of their candidate. In comparison, the stories regarding Dr. Paul's competition ranged from "Giuliani Has Problem With Conservatives" to "McCain Competitive 'Don't Know.'"

According to its website, the Free Market News Network is a lot like the candidate it covers: "independent". The Free Market News Network describes itself as "an independent media solution, an Internet-grown, free-market alternative to mainstream media complexes. The key to our success lies in our commitment to peering behind Big Media mainstream reports to provide more accurate news and analysis in areas of politics, sociology, business and finance. We're driven by truth. So are you."

I love this guy, he is an inspiration. I am still in shock that he actually exists. The world would be a better place if he won. I wish I could vote for him.

I sure do wish we had a Ron Paul running in Canada. Our conservatives are all about Government limiting personal liberty. They should be called the Autoritarian party.

It's too bad Ron Paul isn't running in Canada!

It's good to see that someone in the media is beginning to take him seriously. I was hoping there would be more coverage after Iowa.

Canadians could be Ron Paul's ace in the hole!

"It's sad that we now have to go to a website in another country to avoid censorship." - Well said.

I've been spamming his campaign with $50 a week for the past ten weeks. From what I hear, Dr. Paul has a whole army of internet "spammers" just like me. Next up: We will be spamming the primary ballot boxes with Ron Paul votes.

I read FMNN. Yes, there was a lot of info on Paul, and I was glad to find it because I find very little in the mainstream media. What's more, I find almost no thoughtful consideration of his positions in MSM. If FMNN provides that, I will go there to hear about an honest man with a consistent platform addressing the real issues. I found no spin or lies on FMNN, just lots of coverage of an otherwise under-reported candidate.

I don't see any thing wrong with FMN! All candidates need a loyal media. FMN is doing the right thing as long as it is not telling lies to promote Ron Paul. Shame on the mainstream media who did tell lies about the popularity of Ron just to keep the so called "leading" candidaies afloat!
