If the hot days of summer have you ready for a meltdown, then plan a trip to visit Boomerang Bay. This water park is located near Cincinnati, Ohio. Boomerang Bay is part of Kings Island amusement park. For one great admission price, you will enjoy the cool, relaxing Lazy River, the splash of the waterslides, and the surf of the wave pool. If this isn't enough to wet your appetite for excitement, then walk on over to the Kings Island amusement park where you can enjoy carnival rides, roller coasters, and a trip up the Eiffel tower at no additional charge.

We entered the Boomerang Bay from inside the adjacent Kings Island amusement park. Upon arrival, we were scanned through metal detectors for security purposes. Kings Island and Boomerang Bay want to be thorough in assuring the safety of all guests. Catchy tunes associated with the Australian theme were broadcast over the loud speaker for the visitors to enjoy.

Guests to Boomerang Bay can rent locker space for $12 to store their belongings for the duration of their visit. A refundable deposit of $6 will be returned after the key has been turned into the office at the end of the day. The locker key is conveniently attached to a strap to secure it to your wrist during the rides.

Showers and changing rooms are available near the locker area. The changing rooms were conveniently located, but they were rather crowded. Family changing areas are available for families with young children. These areas are great to quickly change your swimsuit and sandals from your street clothes. The down side to these areas are the cleanliness. The popularity of the family changing station most likely deters the staff from diving in and cleaning up on a regular basis.

Takeaways
  • Waterslides are fast-paced fun.
  • You will enjoy taking a ride on the Lazy River.
  • If the water park isn't enough, take advantage of the thrills of Kings Island for no additional fees
Did You Know?
The wave pool is ranges from a few inches to approximately six feet deep.
