Natural Care for Your Pet
We want to live longer, healthier lives and we want our pets right there with us! Organic foods, homeopathy and natural medicine are just a couple of subjects that have resurfaced in recent years, and with a little time and research, our pets can benefit from our knowledge as well.
Just as natural foods for humans have come to the forefront recently, some healthy pet owners are applying this philosophy to their animals. Natural foods are food or food products which are minimally processed and remain as close as possible to their whole, original state. Humans wishing to achieve healthy bodies and minds strive to comprise the majority, if not all, of their diets with with natural foods. A good balance of natural foods that provide your pet the highest nutrition will benefit them with longer, healthier lives as well.
This does not mean that you should go out and buy any product claiming to be natural. Research is required to be certain you are feeding your pet the closest thing possible to their natural diet. Does the food contain fillers? Are there many ingredients you can not pronounce? If you won't ingest mono sodium glutamate why would you feed it to your pet? Is it healthier to eat corn chips or corn on the cob? The same comparison can be made to mainstream pet foods. Is it better to give your pets food that is full of artificial colors, preservatives and fillers or a food that is as close to its natural state as possible?
