An important step in planning a wedding is choosing the perfect bouquet. The colors, arrangements, and styles of wedding flowers can be just as important as attire. These tips and facts will help one get started in choosing the perfect bouquet for your wedding needs.

A perfect time to start considering your bouquet is after your gown and ceremony setting has been chosen. This  way you can find a bouqet that will mesh with your wedding’s mood. When starting to choose, always take into consideration the size, shape, accents, and ribbons. This will set the tone not only for your wedding, but for other smaller flowers as well.Start out by looking through various websites and magazines that pertain to flowers and/or weddings. Then try to get an idea of what you prefer, and what your style is. For example, Baby’s Breath Flowers are a wonderful filler and can work with any arrangemnet. Roses and Stephanotis can give your wedding a classic appeal, while orange tulips help you to make a bold statement.

After getting a general idea of what flowers you like, the next step is to make sure that they are in season. This will keep the cost down tremendously. However, there are some flowers that are in season year round. Flowers such as Baby’s Breath, Alstromerias, Myrtles, Orchids, Red Roses, White Roses, and Zinnias are always in season. Lilies, Daphodils, Irises, Tulips, Violets, and SnapDragons are a few of the many flowers that are in season for spring. If you prefer a winter wonderland wedding, Tulips are still in season along with Forsythias, and Hydrangeas. For Fall weddings, you can choose from Cosmos, Sunflowers, Zinnias, Delphiniums, Chrysanthumums, Gerbera Daisies, and Scabiosas.
