George Bush is convinced Saddam Hussein is developing chemical and nuclear weapons... Formulates tentative plan to invade Iraq.

Timeline.....Tehran.....2006

Iran's President Ahmedinejad announces that his country has successfully enriched uranium...insists it's for civilian nuclear power only...Bush is convinced Iran is developing the bomb.

Timeline.....2001.....New York City

Al Qaeda terrorists destroy the World Trade Centre...Bush tries to convince the American people that Saddam Hussein is in direct cahoots with Al Qaeda.

Timeline.....2002.....United Nations

Acting on orders from the Commander-in-Chief, Colin Powel "proves" that Saddam Hussein does indeed possess weapons of mass destruction.

Iran is accused of directly funding and arming Shi'ite militants in Iraq. Yesterday, US under-secretary of state, Nicholas Burns bluntly accused Iran of supplying arms and fighters to the Taliban in Afghanistan; a charge the Afghan President himself questions.

Bush realizes that Colin Powell is not fully behind him on his Iraq adventure; and engineers his resignation.

Bush eases out Chairman of the Joints Chiefs, General Peter Pace, because he was against a military strike against Iran.

Am I the only one seeing a pattern here? Have George Bush's visions of Napoleonic conquests not been satiated yet? Is he determined to go out in a blaze of glory...and take the country with him?

Phillip, given the news today that Putin has supplied Iran with nuclear rods, and did so just before the G8 summit and the launching of the Israeli satellite, this argument cannot stand. Iran has warned if we retaliate, they will attack US and Israeli interests. We are in great danger my good friend. DebkaFiles.com

Iran is trying to build a bomb, there can be no doubt... HEU and Plutonium traces have been found by IAEA inspectors, those are for bombs, not energy. And why does a country with 7 million cars (17% of the population own automobiles) and a member of OPEC need alternative energy? You can't tell me the Iranians are more concerned with the environment than exterminating the Jews, they've made that quite clear. It has nothing to do with Bush, Iran is forcing the issue.
