Alan Keyes once said, "Freedom is first of all a responsibility before the god from whom we come." We have been, blessed and given, life and a foundation on which to build a great world. Freedom however was not given to us; it has been something that we have had to earn. And we the people of the United States of America fought to find freedom, and that freedom was granted to us. Keeping that liberty is not easy as there are many elements in the world today that pose a threat to us continuing to be a free nation.

Terrorism! A word, that brings fear into the lives of the people, of the United States. The attacks on the, World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001 gave many people a sense of insecurity and loss of hope, to have peaceful nation. Since then our lives have no longer been focused on what a great nation we are, instead it has been focused and centered on the fear of another attack. Does this mean we have lost our independence and freedom? Well no, but it does suppress our freedom. We should not have to fear going to an airport or into a city just incase something might happen.

I truly believe everyone is entitled to his or her own religious beliefs. I believe that what a person believes in is a very personal choice, which we as individuals must find and understand by ourselves. However this privilege is slowly being taken away from us. People are beginning to degrade people by his or her beliefs, many Christians no-longer feel safe to admit that, that is his or her choice of religion. They fear to say it incase they are seen to be, being racist. We as humans are constantly told that no two people are a like and that we are all individuals and can make our own choices, so why cant we by law show our choices?
