Using Selling Manager to Manage Your EBay Sales

Selling Manager is an excellent tool for managing your eBay sales. It comes free with an eBay store subscription. I signed up for an eBay Store nearly two years ago and have been using Selling Manager consistently to manage my store and auction sales. However, I found that the way use the program most efficiently was not painfully obvious, and the program could be a bit difficult to navigate if you're not familiar with it.

You can perform many functions in bulk in Selling Manager which you might have to do individually without it. For example, you can send bulk emails to your customers for a variety of topics. For example, you can send a congratulatory email to everyone who won your last batch of auctions. To do this, under Selling Manager, click Awaiting Payment. Then select everyone whom you want to send an email. Once the checkbox is selected, click the Email button. Then select Winning Buyer Notification from the drop down menu.

If the template for Winning Buyer Notification is not to your liking, you may edit it by clicking the Manage Email Templates link. Then you can rewrite the email to your specifications. Note that you cannot include external links in an eBay generated bulk email.

Similarly, if someone is late on their payment, you may select Payment Reminder. If you find that you're not receiving feedback from all your customers, you can select the Paid & Shipped view, then select everyone who has not left feedback for you, and send them a Feedback Reminder email. Again, customize the templates to your liking. For example, if you don't leave feedback until it's left for you, you can use the default template. However, if you leave feedback prior to requesting it from your buyer, the default template will not be appropriate, and you will need to edit it.
