Flossing and Rinsing

After flossing, rinse your mouth with a weak mixture of peroxide and lukewarm water. Follow product label instructions for the proper amount of peroxide and water, and consider precautionary statements for use.
Hot and Cold
Heat helps stop toothache pain for some people, and cold helps others. Begin by placing a bag of frozen vegetables or an ice pack against the affected side of your mouth. If a cold compress doesn't provide relief, try heat. Fill a hot water bottle or place a hot washcloth against your face to stop toothache pain.
Clove Oil Remedy
Clove oil is a fantastic natural remedy. If you have a visible cavity, gently clean it out with a toothpick topped with sterile cotton. Next, put a few drops of clove oil on a clean piece of cotton, and pack it into the cavity. Many people with sore teeth find relief with this natural home remedy.
