When people ask me which career I would have liked to pursue other than teaching, I always say that I wish that I went to college for photography. I am in love with teaching because the children surprise me each day with their awakenings and explorations, but I do have a soft spot for taking candid pictures of people. Now that my own children are a bit more self-reliant, I have started to explore options to become a bit better at photography. I am realizing that I don't have to actually go back to school to get a degree, but I can learn other ways. I would like to share with you how to go about pursuing your passion for photography. If you love to photograph people, nature, animals, etc. and have a good eye, that is the first step in pursuing this interest. Although I have no knowledge thus far about the technical side of photography, I do have a good eye for capturing moments in time. My girls are three years old and I have well over three thousand pictures of them in action.
