Arabian horses are small high spirited horses that can be difficult to ride. They are bred to withstand high heat and low water. They are bred to ride in the desert. The Arabian horse has a lot of energy yet they are small and require less food then some other kind of horses.

Arabian horses can be show horses. At an Arabian horse show you see equine riding. These horses put on a fantastic show as they go around the ring. Watching Arabian horses in action is a real treat. The energy the Arabian horse displays is amazing. The Arabian horse shows have a costume class where the riders dress in Arabic clothing and they dress the horses in the clothing as well. These costume classes are spectacular and fun to watch. The costumes are often very sparkly and colorful. The cloth is shear and flies along as the Arabian horse and rider go around the ring. At a full gallop the costumes float up and down in a flimsy array.

Arabian horses can be ridden English or Western. The English classes are elegant since the Arabian horse is elegant.

Arabian horses have short choppy gaits. The Arabian horse is not the smoothest riding horse and it is not the fastest. Yet the Arabian horse has plenty of endurance compared to other horses. An Arabian horse can go without water longer then most horses. Since it was bred for desert travel it is very hardy and able to withstand hot dry climates. The Arabian horse is a very strong and sturdy horse compared to other breeds of horses. They can be trained to ride or to pull a cart. They are good family horses and great show horses. An Arabian horse is usually a high spirited, high energy horse that is better for people who have a lot of energy. If you like a slower horse that is calm and even tempered an Arabian horse is not for you.

Wow, this article is really bad! Short, choppy gaits? Has this person actually ever ridden an Arab? It looks like someone who read an article somewhere but has no idea of what they're talking about. I showed my Arab gelding in Western and English pleasure, he had a smoother jog/trot than any other horse I've ever been on, and I've shown several different breeds. The author also states that they can be difficult to ride. For who? While I wouldn't recommend an Arab for a beginner, if you're an experienced rider you may find it difficult to ride a boring, cold blooded horse.

This article has a ton of generalizations that aren't necessarily true and some are downright wrong. I wouldn't recommend this article to anyone who's trying to learn about Arabian horses or is doing a report on them.
