Should NiMH batteries become warm while charging?
Yes, both manufacturers agree that this is normal.The heat comes from the energy the charging is feeding into the battery and the battery should return to room temperature when the charge cycle is finished.
Can the batteries be left to charge overnight?
Yes. Built-in safety features allow for safe overnight charges. Duracell recommends un-plugging the charger after use.
What is the shelf life of NiMH Batteries?

If stored correctly NiMH batteries can last up to 2 or 3 years depending on storage conditions. After long periods with no use, the battieries may require several charge cycles to regain optimal performance.
Can a regular alkaline battery be charged in a NiMH charger?
No. A regular alkaline battery cannot be charged in an NiMH charger. According to Energizer,, doing so may cause a battery leak, making it very unsafe.
Can I mix battery sizes or brands while charging?
Most chargers do not allow batteries of different sizes to be charged at the same time. Many are only designed to charge one size of battery. However, energizer does offer a charger that can charge two AA or two AAA batteries at the same time. Mixing battery brands is not a problem. If you have a Energizer charger and insert Duracell (or vice versa) battery the charger will work fine. Just be sure that both batteries are labeled as NiMH batteries.
Can NiMH batteries be used in any device?
NiMH batteries can be used in just about any any device that uses regular akaline batteries. They work espcecially well from battery hungry devices such as mp3 players, radios, digital cameras, remote controls, wireless computer mouse, wireless keyboard, handheld games, or any other device that regularly uses NiCd batteries.
