In what seems to be a new twist to the on-going struggle for supremacy between the Fatah and the notorious Hamas, the militant group took full control of Gaza, and open door to an outright looting of rival Fatah group's homes. The home of one of the party's leader was ransacked and a man was plummeted from a rooftop while conducting their search on the compound.

Violence on the street was relatively better than the previous days, as they geared their attentions on consolidating their power throughout the area. The uninhabited Gaza streets of last week because of the fight were crowded with cars, perambulators and scattering crowds of the Islamic militant group.

The seaside office of the leader of Fatah group, Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, an armed militant man who invaded the office, sat at the desk of the president, eporter picked up the phone and pretended to be dialing the United State Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. According to an Associated Press staff reporter who was at the scene, the armed man who was making caricature of the president and Dr. Rice, said, "Hello Rice? Here we are in Abu Mazen's office. Say hello to Abu Mazen for me."

In the same vein, others militants with riffles were busy going through all Mr. Abbas' belongings in the compound. As at press time, beside the man who was thrown off rooftop, there were no other Fatah officials in the compound.

On the streets, there is mix messages from bystanders and traders on which side to support. A man who is a resident of the Hamas-controlled neighborhood, who identified himself as Yousef because of fear of an attack, said Gazans would always lean their supports to whoever wins, regardless of their ideological beliefs.

Their greatest concern is on who will be able to provide them with "food coupon" and a "bag of flour" according to a report by the Associated Press reporter. In other word, ordinary citizens are not enthused by the persistent violence in the area, as they know that the fight is not about development but power-hungering groups.

In the past five days of the fight, more than 90 people had been killed, while dozens of others sustain severe wounds.
