Whether or not you agree that Global Warming is actually occurring, and there are strong opinions on both sides of the issue, you have to agree that it is a major campaign issue for all the Democratic Candidates and will be one of the deciding factors that a majority of voters take into consideration, both in the primary elections and in the general Presidential Election in November 2008. There is little doubt that the climate is changing. The debate is over whether or not it is being caused by humans and as such some action must be taken to stop and/ reverse Global Warming, or whether it is a natural occurrence in nature and human actions are making little or not impact.

The focus now is on the primaries and the selection of candidates for the parties and with that in mind, lets take a look at the Democratic Candidates and their positions on Global Warming with pro agreeing that Global Warming exists and is a major problem caused by the actions of humans and con meaning they disagree and that any climate change is a natural occurrence.

The Democratic Candidates are listed in alphabetical order.

Joseph Biden- Pro. Senator Biden has long been a leader in seeking a solution to Global Warming. He has led a bipartisan coalition calling on the President to return to negotiations for a new climate change treaty. He also believes that developing countries are major contributors to Global Warming, but the United States cannot put pressure on them to change unless we take the lead and control contributing factors to Global Warming such as greenhouse gasses in our country first.
