Jiffy Lube will charge a minimum of thirty dollars to change your oil and the dealership will charge up to fifty dollars or more just to drain the oil out of your vehicle, change the filter and replace the oil. The supplies for this project will usually be under $15 depending on what quality and price range you choose. If you figure that the average person will change the oil in their car 3 times a year that is easily a savings of $45 a year per vehicle.

The supplies that you will need to change your oil are pretty basic.

SUPPLIES TO CHANGE YOUR OWN OIL
