The supplies that you will need to change your oil are pretty basic.
SUPPLIES TO CHANGE YOUR OWN OIL
The basics are as follows:
4 or 5 quarts of oil check your owners manual to find out how many quarts of oil you will need.
A brand new oil filter, your local auto parts store clerk can tell you which one to get, all you need is car make model and mileage.
An adjustable wrench
An oil catch basin
A mechanics grease rag
An oil funnel
If you choose to change your own oil often you may want to purchases the following items:
A car jack
Jack stands (never change your oil under a car held up with one or even two car jacks, always use jack stands)
Adjustable oil filter wrench
Car creeper
Rubber gloves
So you see the basic supplies are few and all are available at your local auto parts store. Now that you have the supplies you will need lets get started changing your oil.
