Having a toddler is a lot of work. They are all over the place. They can be a handful, and make even doing the littlest things a huge event. Trying to get breakfast, lunch or dinner together can be a hassle, but there are some things that can bring them down from a ten to about a three. Although many child experts believe it is not a good idea to have children as young as two years old to watch television, I don't agree. If it is educational and allows them to have fun while interacting with the program, then it can help the child learn.

I started to read to my daughter at the age of 2 months. I knew she didn't understand, but it became a beneficial part of her life. She has learned valuable things and she loves books to this very day. She will get excited to get new book, I have hee enrolled din a program where she receive a book every month. She gets very excited and enjoys having them read to her. But, I also allow her to watch certain programs that will help her learn and have fun. I allow her to watch 2 hours a day. It gets split up between the morning and the evening.

The programs I recommend have the child interacting with the show and learning songs and words. My first choice is Dora The Explorer. This is a fantastic show that enables the children to interact and learn a second language as well. Doraand her friends teach the children Spanish, problem solving, developing their memory and repeating words. It is very good for children who are able to understand and enjoy programs like this. Young children from age of 2-5, can appreciate this type of program the most.

Another program that My child seems to find very interesting is, Veggie TalesDVD series. She loves these fantastic shows. Most of them are a half an hour and can keep the child very focused. These DVD's focus on lesson from the bible, they are child friendly and have great silly songs. Some teach children about the importance of family, or special gifts every little boy and girl have.Veggie Tales is a great way for the child to learn, because all of the characters are vegetables. They have peas, cucumbers, and even a tomato for the child's enjoyment.
