Wondering where to host a Jack & Jill Party in your area?

There are things to keep in mind when finding a venue for the couples shower, also known as a Jack & Jill shower.

Because one of the main reasons for hosting a Jack and Jill party for a wedding couple is to make money for the couple, as crass as that may seem to some, it is important to keep the overall cost of the party down.

It's also important to host it somewhere which will not cost guests a lot of extra money, for parking, coat checks and expensive drinks. The money that guests spend that night should be going towardsthe wedding couple.

A couples shower also needs to be fun. This is a great time to have a low-key, no frills wedding-related party, where everyone can just relax and have fun. The venue should reflect that laid-back attitude.

The couples shower usually involves a large number of guests, and it is standard to rent a local venue for the party. If you're wondering where to host an inexpensive Jack and Jill couples shower in your area, here are five ideas.

1. Local Rod & Gun Clubs

One party venue that is relatively inexpensive to rent, and usually available is the local rod and gun club. The local rod and gun club will have ample free parking, and plenty of room indoors for the Jack and Jill party.

The local rod & gun club is probably equipped with a kitchen that can be used to cook, store and prepare food.

2. Local Ethnic Clubs

Some towns also have local ethnic clubs, like the Polish Club or the Italian club. These venues also make inexpensive options for hosting the couples shower.
3. Local American Legion Clubs

Organizations like the local American Legion typically have large venues which are available for rental. In addition to a kitchen space, a coat room and a large room for eating and dancing, these venues may also have a bar space already set up.

4. Neighborhood Bar

An even more casual idea for a Jack and Jill party is to rent out a neighborhood bar for a few hours. If the bar is big enough, you could even just make plans in advance with the venue to see if they canaccommodate your guests.

5. Outdoor Pavilions at Parks
