Independence Day will be celebrated round Michigan with fireworks and festivals. Many people will gather with family, friends and neighbors to enjoy the light shows in the sky. Following is information about just a few of the celebrations around Michigan

Grosse Pointe Shore Fireworks: July 4 at dusk in front of the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club.

Grand Haven, MI July 4 at 9:45 at the Waterfront Stadium at dusk accompanied by musical fountain

Kalamazoo Jul;y 4 Fireworks spectacular on July 4 at Kalamazoo Speedway.

Mackinac Island: July 4 at dusk.

Mackinaw City: July 4 at dusk. Conling Heritage Park, Marina Lawn,

Mackinaw City: June 30 to July 2 Mackinaw will be celebrating Canada Day with three days of music and entertainment, Canada is turning 140 years old on July 1 and celebrating. Mackinaw Bridge 50th Birthday will be celebrated all summer. On June 30 to July Mackinaw will be hosting a arts and craft show at Conkling Heritage Park.

Detroit Comerica Stadium July 4: The Detroit Tigers will be playing the Indians a the stadium. Following the baseball game there will be a 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular presented by Verizon Wireless.

Detroit CityFest July 4-8: Celebrate Independance Day on Fourth of July weekend at Comerica City Fest in Detroit. The street is a five day outdoor festival featuring food, music and entertainment on July 4-July 8, 2007.

Thanks for the MI article! Being from that state originally, I would have to say that MI is the place to be this july 4th. I suggest going to any lake though on the weekend. Usually there aren't too many fireworks directly on the fourth anymore in MI.
