I'm in college and most of the meals I eat are usually out. I actually enjoy eating out because it saves on having to buy groceries and it also saves on clean-up. Chain restaurants are the basically all there is on the Treasure Coast in Florida. That's not to say there aren't little privately owned restaurants that are enjoyable places to eat, there just aren't many of them. One restaurant that enjoy in particular in the Chili's Restaurant in St. Lucie West. If you've never heard of Chili's, think back to those baby-back ribs commercials from a few years ago where restaurant employees wanted their "baby back...with barbeque sauce."Atmosphere:
The atmosphere in Chili's is simple. Since most of their dishes revolve around the American southwest, their decor matches. There are plenty of vintage advertisements for chilli cook offs and the like. The tables are decorated with tiles that match Native American art patterns of the American southwest. The restaurant is also quite spacious. The tables are all lined up against walls which allows for clear walking paths and keeps the place looking uncluttered.
Service:
The service at Chili's is always a pleasure. The employees seem to genuinely like working where they're working. The service is also speedy and reliable. Only a few times have I been to the Chili's in St. Lucie West where the service lagged a bit, but that was at peak business hour and that's what one would expect during that time of day. The orders are never messed up either. If you order something, then that is what you're going to get without any confusion.
