Hidden a little off the beaten path is a tiny place with a rather big name, Treasure Island Flea Market, that is based out of Saratoga North Carolina. A one stop shopping center for previously used but quality merchandise with well below retail prices. This local gem is owned by an older gentle man Wayne Smith and his somewhat younger wife Teresa Smith. A real ma and pop organization, they rent spaces and sell their own merchandise. Merchandise ranging from knick-knacks and baby clothes to farm equipment and even the occasional golf cart. The market has a well deserved reputation for fairness and the owners refuse to cause issue and concern with their customers by giving them a raw deal.

Treasure Island Flea Market opened just a little over two years ago. The owners took a reletive junk-yard and turned it into a small gold mine. The place seems a bit cluttered at times with the age old issue known as 'flea market-itis'. A Simple ailment that causes people to place random things in a cluttered manner due entirely towards having so much stuff in general to deal with.

They make their rent on the land by selling 'spaces' to local and semi-local flea marketeers. These self-employed businessmen come and set up shop for a daily or monthly fee based off of what type of salesmanship they'd enjoy. If they want to use one of the many renovated mobile homes as a storage and operations base they certainly can pay for such by the month. If ,on the other hand, they prefer a day to day basis they can show up and rent a spot for eight to ten bucks depending on the size of area they want.
