Considering it is summer time and the weather is usually very beautiful, we encourage our kids to go outdoors. Having multiple years of experience of entertaining and keeping children busy, I always had to think of unique ways of doing so. Thinking of ways to entice them outdoors can prove to be a major problem but not impossible. I have come up with a few easy solutions to do the trick and keep your kids happily entertained for hours.

1.Outdoor Pet Talent Show- Most kids have pets that they absolutely love and adore. Letting them display the talents that their pets possess will give them a chance to have some fun. Invite some neighborhood kids over with their special pets. Allow them each to display their pets hidden talents and make a competition out of it. The winner will be able to have bragging rights of most talented pet.

2. Outdoor Art Show- Have your kids create their own artwork. They can try and paint portraits of each other or their very own self portraits. Painting the animals and flowers they can see in nature will teach them the value of observing their surroundings. Allowing their creative juices to flow will provide them with multiple hours of fun. Once they finish this activity, display the artwork for everyone to see.

3. Create an Outdoor Theatrical Play- This activity will teach your children to have an appreciation for the Arts. Having fun creating their own plays and musicals will start the creative juices flowing. Taking the time to make costumes, jewelry, and acting skits is a great way to show them how to work together as a team. If you have any old clothes that are no longer being worn, then they can be used for the costume designing. I remember the times my mother used to let me play dress up in some of the clothes she had from her youth. I had so much fun doing simple little things like that. To really get your kids into it, you can invite others to enjoy in the viewing pleasure. Using your backyard on a beautiful sunny day can be the perfect setting for the theatre stage.
