Basic Rules to Become More Successful in Any Job
Simple Things Can Make a Big Difference

Whatever job that you do, ALWAYS be on time or early if possible,In any job, retail, manufacturing, sales, etc. Customer service is most important.
Be a team player; always be willing to do your share of the work.
Follow all rules not matter how trivial they seem to be, they are there for a reason.
Dress and speak professionally, cut off jeans and a t-shirt will not get you the job of your dreams.
Be courteous, friendly, confident and smile at everyone you meet and if you are going for an interview, be sure to thank and say goodbye to everyone you met.
Always treat people with respect and as you would want to be treated.
Do not say negative things about other jobs or people you have worked with in a former job.
Do not question or argue with your supervisor or manager's instructions.
Take notes when you start a new job and show interest in the business.
Do not stand around and do nothing, ask what you can do to help your co-workers.
Be truthful and honest and take responsibility for any mistake you may have made during your shift or work time.
Do not gossip with co-workers about other workers; be positive and helpful to new workers who are just starting to work with you.
Be willing to learn any new aspects of your job in order to be a good team member.
NEVER miss work unless you absolutely have to, and if you do have to miss work, call in ahead of time so that your supervisor can find someone to take your place.
Understand that even if you do not like the job you have, it is a stepping stone of experience on the way to the job you want.
Work smart, be organized and you will get more done in a shorter period of time.
Be willing to work any shift because the more flexible you are, the more job security you have.
Be consistent in your work effort.
Do not complain, argue, or be inconsiderate to or with your co-workers.
Do not expect special favors, if there is a dress code, follow it.
If your job involves working weekends, and you need a weekend off for a special occasion, ask ahead of time so that your supervisor can arrange it if possible.
Do not expect special treatment if you are friends with a supervisor or manager.
