That's right; girls play WoW, too. In fact, probably more females play World of Warcraft than any other MMORPG to date. Most of those females make female characters although some do actually make male toons just as males make female toons. I have been playing World of Warcraft since it's release over 2 years ago and I have made many characters on several different servers, most of which I played for a considerable time. One thing that many gamers can attest to is that when you play a character for some time, it becomes a part of you and you become a part of it. Your character seems to take on a part of your real personality and you feel a part of yourself within your character.

This is how I feel with my characters and shortly after making a new one, if I don't feel a connection, I have been known to delete them and start over. You can see a slideshow of my characters of WoW if you go to my slideshows on Associated Content. Inspired by my slideshow and also by readers asking me about my characters, I have created this article to share a bit about some of my favorite Girls of WoW and why I enjoyed playing them.

Zombiewitch was my first character in WoW. She was an Undead Warlock, hence the name Zombiewitch (I thought I was quite clever, I suppose). I wanted to play a caster partly because in other games I had always played melee classes. I was the bash 'em, smash 'em warrior type and with WoW, I decided I wanted to try something a little different. I liked warlock because they got a pet and because I liked the idea of magical spells and abilities. I leveled her really slow; taking months to get to 60. I wasn't very good at quests since I was so new to the game and I gained most of my levels from grinding. But, I had a lot of fun and she will always have a lot of sentimental value for me as well although she did get deleted a few months ago and I no longer have her on my account.

I read your paragraph about your WoW chracter and am very intriged. I have a lot of friends and even my boyfriend who plays WoW and I always kind of feel out of the loop when they talk about their characters and I don't know much. I was wondering what type of character would be best for a beginner who has a bit of background about warriors and such. I really want to get into this game and I just need some help from a fellow lady :)!!! Please send me back a message!! Thank you!
