Although Ron Paul has been one of the most popular search terms on the internet in recent days (Ron Paul Gains Popularity on the Internet), he has been somewhat ignored by the mainstream media (Ron Paul Ignored by Mainstream Media). It seems as though the mainstream media has picked up on the Ron Paul internet phenomenon, with at least two publications featuring prominent stories about the candidate over the weekend.

The Washington Post featured a front page article on Ron Paul's internet success in Saturday's paper (An Also-Ran in GOP Polls, Ron Paul is Huge on the Net). The article, titled "An Also-Ran in the GOP Polls, Ron Paul is Huge on the Net," certainly sparked online debate regarding both the article and the candidate, with 14 pages of comments. Some Ron Paul supporters were glad to see their candidate being covered by the mainstream media. Among them, Matt4RonPaul said "Very fair article. Thank you for reporting the facts."

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review also ran a front page article on Ron Paul, with their article running in Sunday's paper (Presidential candidate Ron Paul drawing diverse crowds). Titled "Presidential candidate Ron Paul drawing diverse crowds," the Tribune-Review article discusses Ron Paul's growing popularity, as well as his views on the Iraq War and foreign policy. Since Ron Paul is a native Pittsburgher, the article also talks about his Pittsburgh upbringing and details some of his early accomplishments, including win a state track championship in high school.

Ron Paul's competition in the race for the Republican nomination continued to receive mainstream media campaign coverage as the candidates maneuver for position in the party. The Associated Press reported that Mitt Romney was building momentum in the states with early primaries (Romney Builds Support in Early States).

GO RON PAUL! GO RON PAUL! GOD BLESS RON PAUL! RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2008! Ron Paul in CNN debate on June 5, 2007! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwJKGfAWQUo "In the time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act" GEORGE ORWELL "A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the galleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor---he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and wears their face and their garment, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation---he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city---he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less t

You can't discredit Ron Paul without discrediting the constitution. A vote for Ron is a vote for liberty.

One of the ways those of us in the trenches can help Ron Paul is to dignify his campaign and message by avoiding the name calling, sarcastic, superior down talking that the Democratic and Republican supporters have adopted as normal debate. Stopping cheap talk will set us apart.

His numbers are bigger than they are showing because his message crosses over to all dems and repubs. Anyone who runs against Ron will have a hard time winning due to his uniting message.

Great article... although I don't understand why you constantly say "mainstream" media. Why not let the reader decide who is mainstream and who isn't?

Everyone contact NPR and ask them to interview Ron Paul.
