Castro Prepares for U.S. Invasion

Reuters is reporting that Cuban Leader Fidel Castro is pushing his citizens to prepare for a possible attack by the United States. He believes that it is only a matter of time until President George Bush decides to attempt to spread his governmental hold onto Cuban soil.

This morning, a commentary was posted in a newspaper in Cuba that was given by Fidel Castro. This is the next article in a series of articles in which he has blasted the United States and President George Bush.

His articles have condemned the United States for the isolationist stance that it has had against Cuba. He believes that the United States is against ever having a fair and balanced relationship with the small island nation.

He accuses President George Bush as being a leader who is more interested in war then in his people. Castro believes that the United States will attempt to attack Cuba in the same way that it attacked and invaded Iraq. Castro is firm in his belief that President Bush will try to pull him from power like he did to Saddam.

Castro has warned that Cuba is doing everything possible to try to make sure that it has weapons that could be used to defend itself. The Cuban government has been spending a lot of money to make sure that the military is not only well armed, but also well trained.

Castro has explained that the Cuban military has been going through retraining exercises to prepare them for a possible attack. He believes that the Cuban military will be ready when President Bush decides to invade Cuba.

He believes that the United States is the greatest ideological foe to Cuba. The elderly leader believes, also, that the United States and Cuba will stay this way for many years.

Fidel Castro is now 80-years-old, and has been in power in Cuba for almost 50 years. He has been in poor health the last few years, and has been rumored to be dieing. There have never been any conformations to these rumors.
