While spending a year studying abroad in Australia, I had the chance to travel and see some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Here, I highlight four locations in Victoria, Australia that will make you and your camera smile.

1. Wilson's Promontory National Park, Southern most point of Victoria, Australia
The Prom, as it's known by the locals, is a beautiful coastal park with facilities for hiking and camping. Hikes will take you to hilltops overlooking the Southern Coast of Oz, where the blue ocean meets lush green foliage. The camping facilities will allow you to get close to nature. We even had wombats, harmless fuzzy pig-like creatures, nearly run down our tents at our campsite! My favorite location in the park is Squeaky Beach, which actually squeaks as you walk on the pure white quartz sand! Photo opportunities will include pristine beaches, mangroves, costal dunes, green forests, kangaroos, emus, wombats and kookaburras.

2. Mait's Rest Rainforest, Great Otway National Park, Victoria Australia
One of the last rainforests left in Australia, Mait's Rest is a beautiful walk through gum trees and waterfalls. The gully boasts being home to some of the oldest and largest trees in Australia. Photo opportunities include streams filled by waterfalls, paths wandering into a deep green canopy with giant tree trunks and moss covered landscapes. Mait's rest is located a few miles West of Apollo Bay along the Great Ocean Road.

3. The Grampian Mountains, Western Victoria, Australia
Rocky sandstone platforms jut out of the cliffy walls of the Grampian Mountains in Western Victoria. Hikes through the morning fog will give you wide panoramic views of the mountains, deep gorges and wild flowers. If you're feeling daring, you can wander out onto the ledges that seem to hang in mid-air and feel like you're on top of the world. If you look close, you can find Aboriginal rock art among the waterfalls, gum trees and native fauna. Spectacular vistas await your camera, if the fog lifts!
