Each night Monday thru Fridays, millions of people gather in front of their television sets at approximately 7:30 PM and participate in one of televisions most popular game shows. Jeopardy has entertained us for many years. In addition, Jeopardy fanatics can take advantage of computer games and board games that are spin offs of the popular game show. Although the majority of Jeopardy lovers will never set foot on the set of the popular game show, let alone participate, receiving an invitation to tryout for the popular show can be as easy as completing an online application. Of course, invitations are sent out randomly. Nonetheless, this is the first step to becoming a contestant.

1. How to Submit a Contestant Application?

If vying for a spot on one of televisions most popular game shows, completing a contestant application is crucial. Unfortunately, Jeopardy only allows one submission per year. Because of the large pool of applications, your odds are slim. Yet, anything is possible. If you are determined to be contestant, make a habit of applying annually. To do so, visit the official Jeopardy website. Be sure to include a valid E-mail address. This is how the majority of contestants are contacted. Secondly, avoid multiple submissions. If more than one registration form is found, Jeopardy officials will completely remove this persons name from their database.

2. Tryout Invitations

If you are fortunate enough to receive an invitation to tryout for the game show, be prepared to pay your own travel expenses. To avoid a huge travel bill, submit a registration form specifically for Jeopardy games held in other cities. Once a year, Alex Trebek and the entire Jeopardy crew hit the road and tape episodes in many major cities.

3. What to Expect at Tryouts?

Receiving an invitation to tryout for Jeopardy does not guarantee a spot on the show. Before contestants are able to participate in an actual taping, the producers will test their general knowledge on a variety of subjects. For the most part, Jeopardy is seeking highly intelligent individuals with the type of head knowledge that will wow the audience.
