Crossman has indexed lip balms such as Blistex, Carmex and Vaseline Lip Therapy. Also included on his site are people posting their cravings for chapstick, postings from angry people and testimonials from successful lip balm addiction kickers, or those currently struggling with the addiction.

Most initial responses to this site for lip balm addiction are comical. Internet browsers who come across the site often think of it as a parody or a joke. Who would have thought anyone could have an addiction to lip balm? The site has even won "awards" such as top useless site or humor site of the day. However, according to Kevin Crossman, the addiction to lip balm is not a laughing matter. It is a very serious condition; there are many people struggling to ditch the habit of daily lip balm application. He gets very upset when he gets "awards" such as the ones mentioned above.

Since there are website posters out there who take the site seriously, there are obviously people who take the addiction of lip balm quite seriously.
