At first glimpse, it looks like another run of the mill community website. But upon registering for a new account and using some of the features I found the potential of a great site there. Such features as a working IM system and web cam with audio capabilities in the chat rooms were a nice touch. You have the option of having a built in MP3 player hosted right from the site.

When I entered the chat room, it was very welcoming and people were friendly and helpful. As with any new site, there are some minor flaws to be worked out. Upon notifing the staff about one such bug, I was happy to see a personalized response and thank you from the staff. It appears as if the staff truly do care about their members and are working hard to make the site a pleasant experience for all.

The creator of 1Community is Magnus Wahlaren, 22, of Stockholm, Sweden saw a need for an online community for adults that was not based on dating, but rather a place to make friends and interact with other adults though blogs, forums, and a chat room. So Magnus built such a place and called it 1Commnunity. Where the general idea is 1 World..... 1 Community. A place where adults can blog, participate in forums or chat with friends. Some future aspects of the site will be classifieds, games, photo/video hosting and more.

As stated on the About Us page of 1Community:

"1community was started by a small group of people that were tired of other chat sites lack of concern for there patrons interests. We at 1community want our guests to be comfortable and feel that chatting and browsing at our site is an enjoyable and safe experience. We hope that you will enjoy each visit to our site and will make full use of its services. In time we hope to provide even more services to fit your needs. We welcome any suggestions our guests may have to make this site better."
