It has been announced who will be directing the next installment in the long line of James Bond movies. 'Bond 22', the current working title for the film, will be directed by Marc Forster. Forster has directed some successful movies in the past, most recently 'Stranger than Fiction' in 2006. He has also directed 'Monster's Ball' and 'Finding Neverland'. He has just finished the 2007 drama 'The Kite Runner'.

Daniel Craig is also set to return as James Bond in the next film, which is very satisfying to hear. Craig was quite possibly the best Bond ever in 'Casino Royale'; his brutality and icy stare was enough to make every man wish he could get up and take on an entire terrorist organization.

What made Craig and the last film so great was the way in which he and the movie captivated a modern audience. Nowadays, we crave more and more action, including a wide array of explosions and gunfire. Essentially, the more nameless guards killed in gun battles, the better. Hopefully, the next 007 film is just as action-packed as the last one. Hand Forster and Craig a strong script and everything should be just fine.

The next Bond film is scheduled to release in November of 2008, making it just another great addition to the action hero films of next year. 'Bond 22' joins the ranks of 'Iron Man', 'The Incredible Hulk', 'The Dark Knight', 'Speed Racer' and others, making next year a glimpse into heaven for those who love superheroes and ass-kicking British people.

With the way things are currently shaping up, it looks like few of these movies will disappoint audiences. Next year should be a lot of fun to watch, but there will be more to talk about as well. The talk about the next Spider-Man movie should gain some momentum throughout the year as more people speculate about who could be returning to make a fourth film.

For those who love 'Sin City', the hype over 'Sin City 2' will begin to grow, as will the talk about another Fantastic Four (hurray...I guess). However one wants to look at it, it seems that 2008 could be very good for connoisseurs of the action genre (one of the best genres in movies, in my humble, but also very correct, opinion).
