Nobody likes to spend money on a house they are trying to sell but there are some cosmetic changes you can make that will bring in more than you spend.Consider having your house professionally cleaned if it is especially dirty. Keep your home as clutter free as possible when showing your home. If your walls are looking dingy or have bright colors a fresh coat of paint can do wonders for increasing the value of your house. Try to keep the colors neutral as not everyone has the same taste. Adding new fixtures if outdated in the bathroom can add value. If your not sure what you need to do consider hiring a professional to come in and make suggestions. They will show you simple things that can be done to improve the appeal of your home. Professional's are not expensive in relation to the value of your house and they can make a big difference in a short amount of time. If you are not handy around the house some of them will even do the work for you. Check around though and get references before hiring someone.
