Tons of women go to get their nails done on a daily basis. Many of them just seem to like the way the overall look is when they are done. Most women don't give a lot of thought to the fact that they may be killing or damaging their real nails. Often if you get your nails done on a weekly basis a good manicurist will tell you that it is very important to give your finger nails a chance or opportunity to rest and recover.

Why you get false nails put on your fingers, what you are actually doing is applying glue to your nails. Even if they say that the glue is healthy and in some way is supposed to protect your natural nails this just is not true. Remember that your nails are not made to take the constant abuse that comes along with putting on false nails. If you are someone who gets your nails done every two weeks, which is something that most women with false nails do, you should at least give your nails a two week rest after getting a set removed. This would obviously mean that you would only get false nails put onto your fingers once a month.

It is also very important that you make sure if you get any type of fungus under the fake nail that you get it treated immediately. If this happens you will probably be told not to wear false or fake nails for several weeks. This will give your nails and opportunity to regain strength and allow the fungus to go away. During that time you will probably have to put some type of ointment or crème on the affected area in order to treat it. If you allow your nails to grow all on their own without putting on the fake nails for a few weeks, they may actually start to grow. Of course there is nothing wrong with continuing to put false nails on until your nails reach the desired length that you like.
