To keep up with the times Dove has created two new products for your bathing pleasure. Dove Proage Bath & Body Cream Oil. I'm always up to try new things but I wondered if it would stand up to my usual favorite Johnson & Johnson.

Scent

Johnson and Johnson has a light fresh baby powder scent. Dove Proage has the scent of musk, flowers and honeysuckle. The mixture of Dove Proage scent is actually to strong for me. I literally had my throat close up because of the overpowering aroma. I personally preferred the light baby fresh scent.

Texture

If you like pink then Johnson and Johnson is your thing. Johnson and Johnson Body Wash has a light texture that can be squeezed on a sponge. Johnson and Johnson foams quickly and is ready to use. Dove Proage comes out of the container in almost a thick, dissolved soap form. It is much thicker than Johnson and Johnson.

Lasting Power

Dove Proage wins the contest of Lasting Power hands down. I had to add twice the amount of body wash to my body sponge when using Johnson Body Wash. The Dove Proage is like using the coverage of a bar of soap but it has a smooth texture. It also lasted through one application to my body sponge.

Rinsing

You know how some body washes leave this residue of something even though you have just used soap and water? That is not the case of either of these products. Johnson and Johnson Body Wash leaves a slight lotion feel to the skin. It's as if you have taken a bath and applied lotion at the same time.

Dove Proage washes clean and leaves your skin feeling clean. You have the smooth feeling as if you had applied lotion to your body but Dove Proage does not leave an oily texture.

I know that many of us have problems with hard water. Even though we have filters on our showerheads, the residue from city water leaves our skin feeling tight and dry. I'm happy to report that both Johnson and Dove fight this battle well. Not once did my skin feel tight and dry to the touch after stepping out of the shower.
