8th Annual Sunnyvale Music and Market

If you're looking for something to do after work on Wednesdays, head over to the 8^th Annual Sunnyvale Summer Series Music & Market. I went to several events last your and had a blast. Every year companies like Toyota Sunnyvale, National 1, Urban Village, and The Pennysaver sponsor this event for residents near and far from Sunnyvale.

The Sunnyvale Summer Series is ever Wednesday from 5pm till 8pm. The live music starts at 6pm. I usually like to get there at 5pm so that I can find a place to sit and then shop around at the local stands around the event.

I'm able to shop for clothing, candles, flowers, bakery goods, fresh fruits, and vegetables while a new band is playing each week.

On June 20^th, The Joe Sharino Band will be playing. The Joe Sharino Band plays a mixture of Rock, Funk, Motown, Swing and Country. They have been delighting Sunnyvale residents for the past sixty years. Alison Sharino even gets in on her Dad's act on occasion and the Bay Area loves them.

The Joe Sharino Band has won several Bay Area awards and has been on the front cover of dozens of magazines. Who wouldn't be with great music and three decades of music behind them?

Mike and I are planning to have The Joe Sharino Band and the Cocktail Monkeys possibly play at our wedding!

On June 27^th, The Double Funk Crunch will be playing. On July 4^th, everyone will be celebrating Independence Day and there will be no event.

On July 11^th, The Hitmen will be playing. On July 18^th, The Wiseguys will be playing. On July 25^thBusta Groove will be playing. Busta Groove started in 1997 and have been playing 1970's to today's hits for a decade. Diablo Magazine has voted them as "Best Local Band" for the past 4 years.

On August 1^st Flashback will be playing. On August 8^th Cocktail Monkeys will be playing. The Cocktail Monkeys have been finalists in KFOX 98.5 Last Band Standing and plan to do it again!

August 15^th, Silicon Valley House Rockers will be playing and on August 22^nd Phil & The Blanks will be playing.
