Hagerstown, Maryland - James Hackey was sentenced in 1987 on 10 counts of burglary and violating probation in 1987 which added up to 41 years in prison. Three years ago, Hackey was released on parole after serving 17 years of his sentence. Now Hackey is facing new charges in the abduction of an 11 year-old who was kidnapped and raped in May. Officers detained Hackey after he had been caught at the Oak Ridge Apartments peeping into people's windows. The apartments is where the girl had been abducted. Hackey is facing 17 criminal charges which include kidnapping and two counts of rape as reported by Associated Press.
Deerfield Beach, Florida - Chadrick Orlando Simmons, 30, was identified as the man who was shot and killed outside a home in the 300 block of NW. 2nd Way. The incident occurred after an argument which was involving several men and women happened around 1:00 a.m.. One of the people that were involved in the argument that shot Simmons multiple times has not been identified as of this evening. No other details have come about as of today. Detective Dave Nicholson is urging anyone with information on this crime to call 954-321-4210 or Broward Crime Stoppers, the Sun Sentinel reports.
