Is Tony Blair a Good Choice for Mid East Peace Envoy?
Can a Former British Prime Minister Be a Good Negotiator?
Whose Idea is this Anyway. When Tony Blair announced some time ago that he would be resigning as PM in June of 2007 naturally political prognosticators began immediately to sound out Blair to discover what his follow up vocation might chance to be. Blair, always enjoying both the spotlight and the chance to bedazzle was considerably less than forthcoming. Speculation has continued as to the possible directions this intelligent, well spoken , British Prime Minister may next pursue. Most recently he suggestion has been floated by none other than President Bush that Tony Blair would make an excellent peace envoy to the Middle East. Bush's suggestion doesn't necessarily mean that Blair is either willing or ready for such a task. The question many thoughtful Americans and British must ask is , is Tony Blair a Good Choice for Mid East Peace Envoy.
