We all know just how appealing Kobe Bryant would look in a Chicago Bulls jersey. Chicago hasn't had a captivating superstar since Jordan called it quits for the second time. Bryant is electrifying; able to score at will and calls for a double team this past season, that we might have been watching them in the NBA finals. He's without a doubt one of the best we'll ever see and he is certainly at the top of his game. Still, I'm not sure if that image we have of Kobe dropping fifty in the red and white is the whole picture, or if it's simply us living in a best-case scenario kind of world.

If you haven't been following the story, here's where are currently. Kobe wants out of LA. He's unhappy with how bad the Lakers are and feel as if it's going to get worse before it gets better. The Lakers don't want to deal with an unhappy superstar and they won't have any problem getting other teams in the league interested in trading for the services of Mr. Bryant. Still, of all the teams interested, only a few have even a remote chance of landing him. See, Kobe has a no trade clause, so he doesn't have to go anywhere he doesn't want to. And from all reports, Chicago, is on his wish list, and luckily for Chicago, they have the right mix of salary and young talent to entice a Lakers team in desperate need of young talent.

But before we start placing orders for the new Kobe jerseys, let's just take a minute and think long and hard about what this would really mean for the Bulls. First off, in any trade scenario, the Lakers are going to want any combination of Deng, Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, Ben Wallace, and the no. 9 draft pick. Now, they won't get all of that, but what they are most likely going to ask for is Deng, Gordon and that No. 9 pick. The Bulls would at that point have to make them agree to take P.J Brown off their hands, because in the NBA you have to match dollars for dollars when trading players.
