Writing on the sidewalks is a great way to show your artistic side. It can also be a way to express yourself and your opinions. Recently I walked through a college campus and there was plenty of art on the sidewalks. The college kids were showing there artistic talents and trying to express their opinions in chalk. Some of the artwork was extremely grand and I felt bad that it would be washed away in the next rain. But then the sidewalks would be all clean for the next day and people could make new great and creative pictures on the sidewalks.Chalk is nice to use for sidewalk art since it will wash away in the next rain. Then you have a clean slat to do more artwork on. If you get tired of what you have done you can always wait for the rain and start all over again on some new art.
You can be creative and have a different art for all the holidays coming up. On the Fourth of July you can have a Fourth of July theme, Easter can have an Easter theme and it you live in a warmer climate you can have winter holidays too like Christmas. When a birthday comes along you can make a special birthday sidewalk art for that special person.
Make a path that someone can follow to some related theme on another part of the sidewalk.
The chalk that you can buy for sidewalk art is inexpensive and fun for kids. You can give the kids some chalk for sidewalk art and let them have fun. It is great to see what kids come up with when they have some chalk and a sidewalk. They can really express themselves and how they feel.
Sidewalk chalk is great for playing hop scotch. Just make your favorite hop scotch board with your chalk and get a rock and play. As the hop scotch board wears off the sidewalk you can always redraw it with some more chalk. Tic tac toe can also take place on the sidewalk with some chalk.
Chalk for sidewalks comes in different colors that make it great for art on the sidewalk. You can make pictures on the sidewalks with many different colors in them. If you don't have sidewalk chalk you can use just white chalk to make some wonderful and creative sidewalk art.
