Look Well Rested, Even When You're Tired
Spent the Night Out Partying and Now Your Skin is Suffering? Use These Easy Tips to Look Well Rested
1. De-puff - The first thing that looks beat down when you're tired is your eye area. It's going to look puffy and swollen which is a major sign that you didn't get any sleep. If you know that you aren't going to be heading to bed at your normal time, make sure you drink a few more glasses of water than you normally would to help fight the puffiness before it starts.
The next morning you can bring down your swollen skin by using cool compresses. Try cold cucumber slices if there are some available, if not you can use cooled off chamomile tea bags, or you can just run spoon under cold water for a few seconds until chilled then place it over your eyes. The cold temperature will calm your eyes and bring the puffiness down. For maximum results use a soothingeye cream to really deflate the area.
2. Conceal the darkness - Now that you've played down the puffiness, you now have to do battle with the darkside, those dreaded under-eye circles, because you won't look bright-eyed and bushy tailed unless you do. So pat a thick concealer onto your under-eye area (using your ring finger) beginning with the inner corners and fan it out as necessary.
3. Get the red out - Beige or red eyes aren't attractive and they make you look tired even if you're not, Say bye-bye to the problem with over-the-counter eye drops and make sure you give it a few minutes to absorb.
4. Exfoliate - When you've barely slept a wink or haven't slept at all your skin is going to reflect that. It will look paler and more dried out then normal because it didn't enough time to replenish and heal itself the night before. So give your tired skin a little help and exfoliate it gently to remove dead skin cells and reveal a brighter, newer skin underneath. When your skin looks soft and radiant it makes you look healthy, while tired skin makes you look sad and sickly.
