In this article I am going to start with the 5th best NBA point guard and move towards the best as of the 2006-2007 season.

5. Jason Kidd

Not a great or even good scorer anymore but still year after year shows his poise in passing the ball, playing defense and being an overall floor general. He shows so many aspects that young point guards these days lack. I would have him rated alot higher than 5 but he's obviously not in his prime anymore at that he still is excellent.

4. Deron Williams

A combination of Baron Davis and Jason Kidd aka the pefect point guard. A great young guard who I just love to watch and can do it all. Just in his sophmore season in the NBA helped lead the Utah Jazz deep into the playoffs with little talent. Can shoot the jay, pass the ball, back you down, lock you down on defense and solidify the fast break. He has all the intangables and will soon be recognized as one of the best. Very impressive but lacks experience. Just wait till he's a seasoned veteran.

3. Baron Davis

Bigger, Faster, and Stronger than the rest of the point guards in the league. He leads his team in scoring, assists and steals and is just an all around smart basketball player. I love his ability to shoot the three and has a great slash to the basket. I just don't see a better scorer at the point guard position in the NBA. Could use some help at being a little less selfish but then again every team need there star. A perrenial allstar pick without a doubt and number 3 in the NBA.

2. Steve Nash

May be a surprise to many of you that he is second but i'll get into that later. Steve Nash is the best passer in the NBA . He was the 2 time should have been 3 time NBA Mvp of the league. He has lead the league in assists 3 years in a row and he can just about do it all. Smart, can shoot the 3, best passer, plays defense, and runs the fast break like a champ. He has gotten just about every accomplishment, except for an NBA championship.

1. Tony Parker

Deron Williams raised many eyebrows when his performance lead the Utah Jazz deep into the playoffs.

One guy you are all forgetting is Allen Iverson yes he doesn't put out as many assists but he is one of the best and I agree with the Chris Paul thing he is going to be top 10 point guards of all time along with AI.

first of all Parker is great but not better than Nash, rings or not Parker has a better team around him. Williams is better than Davis and where is Chris Paul on the list.

dont know how ya couldnt have Chauncey Billups in there, if you consider how much he has improved his game since flip saunders has been there.

to me kidd should be number one, none of these good player are close to avereging a triple double every night......and also whenever these guard play against kidd they get shut down some how....( not steve nash do ).... all around kidd is better than them even if he is older.

what when has steve nash EVER played defense. he is arguably the worst PG on defense in the league. he is an UNSTOPPABLE offensive force but on Defense he is abysmal at best my friend.
