Acquiring tickets to a live taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show can be a bit tricky, and may require a bit of patience. The demand for tickets far exceeds the supply, making the process difficult.

Phone Reservations

The Oprah Winfrey Show takes reservations for tickets through phone one day a month, for reservations for the following month. For example, for tickets to shows in May, reservations will be taken on April 17th, from 10am to 4pm, central time. The phone number for the reservation line is (312)591-9222. To find out the day that ticket reservations are being taken each month, you must call the reservation line or check out the website at
http://www2.oprah.com/tows/program/tows_prog_getticks.jhtml. Even on the day they take reservations, you may have to call several times to get through the busy signal.

E-mail Reservations

It’s risky but if you are traveling last minute, or have had no luck getting through the phone reservation line, you may be able to make a last minute e-mail reservation. On
http://www2.oprah.com/tows/program/tows_prog_getticks_f.jhtml, there will be a link to e-mail reservations for a specific date they have tickets available for. If there are no links to dates on the website, that means there are no available ticket dates.

When is The Oprah Winfrey Show  taped?
The show season goes from August through November and then January through May. The weekly taping schedule for the show changes week by week. There are no weekend tapings. When you call the reservation line, they will give you more specific dates and times.

You can reserve up to 4 tickets for one taping.

I just love Oprah, I watch her shows everyday in between looking after my five kids.I never miss it.I live in Ireland and planning to go to Chicago with my girlfriend on the 8th November 07.It would be a dream come throught if we were in the audience, a dream, a dream come throught.If by any chance i would be so grateful.I know there are so many other people more worthly but I would be the happiest woman on earth!Thank you, an Irish fan.God Bless your good work and may he give you good health to continue.best wishes, cathy mcmahon

I watch your show every day or tape it when I cannot be at home to view it at the right time. I tried in 2003 to get 2 tickets to see your show in person. This was a significant year for me as it marked the 5 year mark as a Survior of breast cancer. The other ticket was for my best friend who, like Micahel J. Fox, is battling Parkinsons disease. Well, needless to say, I was not successful in obtaining 2 tickets and here it is, 4 years later, and I am still trying. As a matter of fact I just got off the phone trying again. I always seem to miss the date that calls are being accepted and have even been know to call every day for an entire month. If someone on your staff does read this comment, I would be grateful to receive 2 tickets, if possible. Thank you for your consideration. I am 49 years old. In Feb of 08 I will turn 50 My dream is to attend one of your shows. I have tryed many a times to get tickets but was unsuccesful..
