This will be the first in a series of articles ranking the top fantasy football players for the upcoming season. Training camp will be started soon so there is no time like the present to get prepared for your fantasy football draft. We will start with the most glamorous position in the game, the QB. While other positions like running back and wide receiver depend on play calling to determine how many touches they get in a game, the QB has his high priced hands on the ball every single offensive snap. As the old saying goes, "That's why they get the big bucks". It depends on your league scoring system how important the QB position is to your fantasy roster. Typically the QB is the highest individual point scorer on your team. So it is very important that you draft wisely. Your QB can't win your league alone, but he sure can lose it for you.

We will now give you our "expert" opinion on which QBs' will be the ones you want to target on draft day and why. And away we go....

1. Peyton Manning

Manning is the clear cut choice as the top QB in the league. He is coming off his first Super Bowl win. This after years of famous failures in the playoffs, it was debated far and wide about Peyton's ability to win the big game. Well he now has that huge monkey off his back. He has never failed to put up monster stats year after year. He is in the prime of his career and shows no signs of slowing down. He still has future Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison and stud Reggie Wayne to throw to. He also has a good pass catcher Joseph Addai out of the backfield. The Colts still have one of the best offensive lines in football. He will no doubt be the first QB taken in almost every fantasy league, as well he should be. He has never missed a game in his career. He is as close to a sure thing as you can get in fantasy football.

2. Carson Palmer
