Bacardi Silver Mojito Isn't Bad: Better Than Most Bottled Mojito Drinks

Over the past couple of years, the mojito has become a fashionable mixed drink. It is especially popular in the summer when people are looking for an alcoholic drink that will quench their thirst as well. Bacardi Silver Mojito is a decent bottled option. Of course when at all possible it's best to make a mojito from the ingredients themselves so you can control the alcohol content of your drink. Many people prefer a stronger mojito than what you will get in this bottled version, but in a pinch Bacardi Silver Mojito is not a bad option if you are at the liquor store looking for a ready made version of this popular drink.

For those of you that are not familiar with what a mojito is, it's was developed in Cuba. It's actually a rather simple drink when you look at the ingredients. All you need is rum, lime, fresh mint, sugar, and some club soda to top it off if you wish. The key with a mojito is getting the flavor of the ingredients to blend well. This is why you start with the sugar and mint leaves and put them in the bottom of a glass. Next you use a muddler to smash these together to release the essense of the mint. Next, if you were making this at home you would add lime juice and use the muddler again. To finish the drink off you would add the rum, club soda to taste, and ice and you would have your perfect summer drink to cool you off with a kick. The nice thing about making these at home is you can control the strength of the drink by determining the type of rum you use, and it's amount in comparison to the club soda. Obviously, with Bacardi Silver Mojito you don't have that option.
