Smirnoff vodka has been the root of many parties, alcohol abuse problems, and hangovers for many years. For all of the fun and misery associated with Smirnoff Vodka, there are actually many handy household uses.

Household Uses for Smirnoff Vodka#1-Home Remedy for teething babies
Although many parenting groups will scoff at using vodka to soothe the gums of a teething infant, this is really effective. This has been an effective remedy for teething babies in my family for many years. Dip a cotton swab in the bottle of Smirnoff. Apply a to the baby's gum line. The alcohol soothes the baby's gums. Contrary to popular belief, this will not lead to your child becoming an alcoholic in the future. This also works really well to treat toothaches in adults. Do not use this when there is an abscess on the tooth, as it will worsen the infection.

Household Uses for Smirnoff Vodka#2-Removing adhesive from surfaces which have had stickers and tape on them
The adhesive residue left behind by adhesive tapes and stickers can be annoying. To remove this annoying residue, pour Smirnoff directly onto the surface. Let this set for two minutes. Wipe the surface with a clean soft cloth.

Household Uses for Smirnoff Vodka#3-Spot remover for carpets and clothing
Remove spot stains such as grass, mud, lipstick, and food sauce, and other stains from clothing and carpets. Pour a dab of Smirnoff onto the stain and let set for two minutes. For clothing, wash the clothing as normal. For surfaces such as carpet, mop or vacuum as normal.

Household Uses for Smirnoff Vodka#4-clean your pores.
The leading ingredient in many over the counter pore cleansers is alcohol. The leading ingredient in Smirnoff Vodka is also alcohol. For this reason, Smirnoff vodka, or any alcohol for that matter, is an excellent facial cleanser. Before you shower, apply Smirnoff to your face. Let the vodka set on your face for three to five minutes. Wipe away with either a gentle cloth or with toilet tissue. Be sure to follow these instructions closely to prevent the skin on your face from becoming dry and flaky.
