Fox TV Show Host Sean Hannity: Let's Not Talk About that

Lying by Omission/Bohemian Grove

My article about Sean Hannity's cluelessness was harsh, I'll admit that. But I'll also admit that I still find him as intolerable as a toddler demanding he won't eat his brussel-sprouts. I will admit to bashing him, if he admits to bashing people who don't agree with him. If there's
anything I learned from writing that piece, it's that I should have been less hateful/harsh and included solid examples of how he is one-sided and frivolous.

So, instead of bashing him and stating why I don't like him, I will provide one big example; and with my personal feelings aside (for the most part) you, the reader will have an easier time deciding for yourself how you feel, rather than agreeing or disagreeing with me.

First I'll go back to an earlier example; the one where the caller named John reached the airwaves asking Sean why "you refuse to talk about the Bohemian Grove" and why our political, financial and media icons hang out there and partake in satanically inspired rituals such as the "Cremation of Care". The caller was poignant, asked Sean his question very clearly, then asked it again while Sean said nothing. Then, after a short pause Sean fired back, "Good bye", again "Good bye". My question is: Why should there be a problem with this question? I thought Sean wanted to tackle the facts? Why would he dismiss this caller so abruptly? I know, I know...get to the point, right? My point in raising this question is that Sean blatantly denied the voice of someone with an important question because the implications of the answer to that question would put Sean's ideologies in jeopardy.

If I can find empirical evidence supporting your claims, have no doubt that I'll come down on your side. However, I haven't found anything that's got me convinced yet. I'm not counting anything out, though - and I'll let you know when I reach a decision.

I can't wait until you find all this crap out. I promise you the Bohemian Grove is a sick place.

Fair enough. At least you've given me a place to begin - and I will be looking into this, simply because I hate discussing anything from a position of ignorance. I still think you're probably a little far afield on this one, but I'll have a look anyway.

Jason, it's on video tape, the rituals. The memberships are open, public knowledge. There is evidence, and the "go do some research" statement is from the bottom of my heart. Skull and Bones, the Yale group that both GW and Kerry belong too, is no secret. Honestly, there are articles all over the place talking about Bohemian Grove, that are not "lunatic". Read interviews with people talking openly, about being in these groups. A few years back, David Gergen, advisor to several presidents, admitted to being in the Grove and other illicit associations, and announced he was no longer a member because of pressure arising from negative social perceptions of these groups. Start with that.

I didn't miss the point that Sean Hannity is a waste of airtime - but then again, so are most political commentators - they have a gift for speaking around issues without ever addressing them directly, and I find that very irritating. However, my issue isn't with whether or not Hannity's a dipshit - it's with the fact that claims like this "Bohemian Grove" thing are the very reason people with legitimate concerns about illicit government activities are dismissed out of hand - for every instance we can find proof for, there are a hundred other theories out there that sound like nothing short of the ravings of a lunatic. Telling me "I just can't see the truth" isn't getting me anywhere. Either provide me some direction for research, or don't bother at all.

The "go do some research" comment is indicative of circular logic and redirection - the same tactic Karl Rove uses every time the conservative base gets out of line with administration policies. I've looked for the "Bohemian Grove" as far as my online resources will allow, and have turned up only conspiracy sites and grandiose claims without the first shred of empirical evidence - I'll be happy to turn my attention to print work soon.

Oh...my friend, you are so lost. Go do some historical research of your own, and return with comments that have a basis. the proof you seek, is right in front of your eyes. I'll say that again, GO DO SOME RESEARCH. I say this beacuse I'm positive that you haven't. Again, until you have, don't dip your fingers in stew filled with spices you don't taste.

Two things on the idea of the "Bohemian Grove." 1.) Source? Seriously, where do you draw the idea that such a group even exists - let alone find a membership roster for it? 2.) Okay, conspiracy theory's a fine thing - and I'm as opposed to the Bush administration as the next person who doesn't want to see the Constitution raped over and over again - but you're using a great deal of text to say absolutely nothing. You're questioning why Sean Hannity wouldn't want to discuss something that's about as far out in left field as the idea of flying pigs attacking Communist China, without the benefit of proof. Were this a research proposal, I'm reasonably sure you'd be laughed out of the committee meeting room.
