Human rights are a term people use all the time but the term itself isn't often defined. Human rights are universal so no matter where you are in the world you should have the same rights. Human rights are inalienable, you are born with them. If you are human you have these rights. The third piece is human rights are indivisible. This means that if you infringe upon one right, you are affecting the other rights. Human rights are so intertwined that they can't be separated. Human rights are:

Right to life-the right to literally be alive without worrying about someone killing you.

Right to Liberty-you have the right and freedom to your own believes, religion, association, and gathering

Right to be Political-the right to participate in politics by expressing themselves, protesting,
participating in a republic

Right to Legal Justice- you have the right to due process of the legal system.

Right of Equality- rights that guarantee equal citizenship and non-discrimination.

Economic Rights- the right to be free of poverty and starvation via equal access to good paying jobs with benefits and social services

Group rights- rights that guarantee protection for groups against ethnic genocide

Human rights are seemed pretty straight forward but it our culture these are not as straight forward as you may think. Think about the town you live in; do you have people who are living in poverty? Do you have people who are afraid that if they go out on the street they may be harmed? Do you have discrimination against minorities in you town? Are people allowed to protest their political believes? Is everyone looked at equally? You probably answered yes at least three times and if you are one of those people whose human rights are being violated what are you suppose to do? This is the hard question and the world is not sure how to answer that.
